They call it Sunday Scaries.

That odd, unsettling feeling of dread for the following week – the Monday emails, never-ending to-do list, and the sense that the weekend wasn’t long enough.

I get it. Happens to all of us.

But that doesn’t mean we can’t fight back, so here are 3 simple ways to kick the Sunday Scaries to the curb:

Time for a quick brain dump!

Write down your to-do list.

Grab a pen and paper. Set a timer for 10 minutes. Then Jot down every thought swirling around your brain to “release” them.

Order them in terms of importance.

From there, organize your tasks into three distinct collections:
1) tasks you can finish tonight in under 45 minutes to get a head start on next week
2) tasks you’d like to take care of first thing in the morning, and
3) tasks you don’t have to handle until after the following week’s braindump.

How do you like to wind down?

After completing your small tasks and making your to-do lists… it’s time to go full spa mode.

Turn off the lights, let the sweet aroma of your favorite candle fill the air, and take a longggg shower.

Put on those comfy PJs, brew a cup of herbal tea, and crack open that book you’ve been putting off.

Whatever you have time for and whatever helps you feel pampered and taken care of.
